See a workflow as a tree

Every workflow can be drawn as a tree: each step a box and each way out a line, so you can see at a glance where people go next.

Open the tree

  1. Find the workflow

    In the sidebar, under Send, choose Workflows. Beside each workflow, View decision tree opens its tree.

  2. Or from the workflow

    Open a workflow and choose the Decision tree tab. Here the tree is for reading: to change a step, choose Edit steps.

  3. Go back

    The Steps tab returns to the workflow and the people in it.

Drawing a tree yourself

If your Workflows screen has a section called On the shared engine, the workflows in it open in the full canvas editor, where you draw the tree yourself: decisions, approvals, forms, payments and more. See Build a decision tree.
