Pop-up promotions
Overview
Content editors use promotions to put an announcement in front of visitors: a homepage hero, a homepage promo card, an announcement banner or a pop-up. A pop-up opens over the page on the pages you choose, and visitors can close it.
Create a pop-up
Start a promotion
In the sidebar, under Site, choose Promotions, then New promotion.
Write it
Add an Image, a Title, a Subtitle and a Body, and a Link URL with its Link label, such as Register now.
Make it a pop-up
Under Placement, choose Pop-up.
Choose the pages
Under Pages, list the addresses it opens on, one per line: /events/ covers a section and is every page. Left blank, it opens on the home page only.
Choose how often
Set Show again after (days). At 0, once a visitor closes it, it stays closed until the promotion is edited.
Publish it
Keep Live on the site ticked and choose Create promotion.
Good to know
To take a promotion down without deleting it, open it, untick Live on the site and choose Save promotion. The Promotions list shows each one as Live or Off.
